In India, while there is no specific legislation mandating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Belonging programs, various laws and legal precedents recognize the need for equity and inclusion. DEI efforts require a nuanced multi-layered strategy due to the country’s diverse socio-economic landscape, encompassing numerous languages, cultures, ethnicities, and religions. Comprehensive definitions are essential, alongside specific, well-defined actions to address the complexities of DEl effectively.
The Mumbai Chapter would like to have a DIB plan in place that reflects the needs of its member coaches and the partners and industries that they serve.
During this session, we will share the IC Global definitions and initiatives for DIB. It will be followed by a structured brainstorming session to invite ideas on what we can do as a Chapter that is impactful for our ecosystem. These ideas will then be put together into the 2024 DEIB Plan.
